Data Recovery Engineer, Sheffield

A leading Data Recovery consultancy has an immediate requirement for a Data Recovery Engineer to join them at their offices in Sheffield. They specialise in hard drive repair and data recovery services from all manner of storage devices from USB Memory and Flash storage through to hard disk drives and RAID storage arrays.

As Data Recovery Engineer you will have at least 3 years experience in Data Recovery or Computer Forensics and be up to date with all the latest tools and technologies. Extensive Clean Room experience as well as SA repair skills and extensive file system knowledge is required. Programming skills are desirable, however, not essential, whilst experience in all modern operating systems and RAID structures is essential.

Applicants must have a valid permit to work in the UK and a driving license. Due to the sensitive nature of the work carried out; all past, current or pending criminal convictions must be disclosed.

Salary: Upto £40,000 + benefits
Location: Sheffield – a relocation package is also on offer

They are also interested is talking to candidates for a Junior / Trainee Data Recovery Engineer’s role. You will have 2 years experience in an IT related role, preferably with experience in Linux / Unix, Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. Previous experience of a Data Recovery Environment would be beneficial but is not required. The successful candidate should be willing and able to work with direction in a growing team of engineers to develop themselves personally into a lucrative and rewarding career. Opportunity to work in London (following 12 months in Sheffield)

Salary:£15,500 + extras but will be negotiable dependent upon experience and background
