Globally recognised provider of I.T & Facilities services urgently requires a Configuration & Deployment Engineer to join their established team in Gloucester.

This position offers a rare opportunity for a candidate who wishes to move their career into the configuration & deployment engineering field and utilise their skills in some of the most prestigious and well documented I.T contracts available.

Due to the nature of this work my client is willing to invest and train you to become the Configuration & Deployment Engineer.
Your responsibilities as you develop within the team will include:
• Coordinating and arranging deployments as requested.
• Building applications using defined processes.
• Maintaining build scripts.
• Deployment of applications to test and production environments using defined processes.
• Keeping deployment and process documentation up to date.
• Providing early life support following deployments.
• Provide out of hours deployment support when required.
• Provide configuration support and guidance to the development teams.
• Provide administration support for the configuration management tool.

Skills required:
Ideally my client is looking for candidates who can demonstrate programming knowledge and a basic understanding of change and configuration. Additionally they are looking for an understanding of build concepts and with ideally knowledge of ANT or Make Files, along with Windows Server and SQL.
