This is a temporary role for the next 4-5months, which is likely to be extended.
Project Overview:
As part of the Global Employment Framework Centre of Excellence, the Employee Relations Services team provides support on ER issues across the UK. This role will support Business Managers on the management and resolution of cases, as well as programme managing any large scale projects covering multiple stakeholders (such as TUPE or redundancy).
The role will include the following:
- Support and guide Line Managers in the handling of ER cases on behalf of the UK business. Ensure that cases are managed promptly in a manner consistent with applicable service protocols, agreements and Company policies and procedures.
- Advise Line Manager and HRBPs on ER issues affecting the business by analysing the complexities of situations, understanding the risks and legal implications of the advice. Support in the application of the recommendations within the business if applicable.
- Build credibility with all service stakeholders through a mixture of business meetings, data analysis, trend reporting and managing cases. Design relevant solutions to combat negative issues and trends within the businesses. Ensure that all systems and records are maintained to enable timely and accurate reports.
- Support large scale complex redundancy or TUPE projects to ensure the effective on time delivery of the defined service work packages.
- Share appropriate learning around the ER processes within the team to improve the overall team credibility.
- Improve the design and content of the ER processes in line with changes in legislation and/or customer requirements to ensure a cost effective and responsive service organisation is maintained.
- Be actively south out by the business for designing credible ER solutions to complex issues.
Essential Skills:
Relevant HR Qualification
Broad knowledge of the HR best practice in Employee Relations, case management and employment law
Investigation skills
Ability to coach business leaders in effectively managing cases and people issues
Well developed customer and relationship management skills
Negotiation and conflict management;
