Material Recycling Facility & Transfer Station Manager (Essex) to £37,000 + Co Car & Bonus (17.5%)

To be successful you will have an engineering background combined ideally with experience from the waste management / waste recycling industry with experience of maximising the availability and continuous improvement of process plant either from waste recycling, operations, manufacturing, food or agricultural industries with skills in electro-mechanical disciplines, instrument and process.

Be financial aware as you will be handling a budget of up to £10M annually by delivering financial profitability. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, good practices combined with knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management systems. Desired knowledge of the techniques/technologies used/have potential application in the waste/recycling management / materials handling sectors.

You will be responsible for recruitment, training and motivation of personnel, manage four supervisors with ultimate responsibility for 45 operatives/staff working shifts covering continuous operation. Performance monitoring, efficiency of all plant. Ensure the ‘skill pool’ at the facility is maximised, repair and maintain all static and mobile plant to deliver maximum reliability. The site accepts 1,500,000 tonnes per annum, 50,000 tonnes per annum from Materials Recovery Facility, 50,000 tonnes per annum Green Waste, 17,500 tonnes per annum Wood Waste.
