Landfill Environmental Site Assistant - Cheltenham - £25,000

Our client is the largest privately owned waste management company in the UK, at present they are looking for a Landfill Site Assistant to join a small team working on a landfill site local to Cheltenham.

As a Site Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring all waste is received in accordance with company procedures and environmental permits, whilst being actively involved with an Environmental Management System to ensure standards are maintained. You will also be accountable for monitoring all on site contractors, providing them with the correct protective equipment and ensuring they comply with site rules. To monitor the site is working correctly you will be responsible for providing routine checks on all operational procedures.

You will also be responsible for field monitoring and provide support to the environmental co-ordinator.

The ideal candidate will have work experience on a Landfill site in connection with a qualification in chemistry or environmental engineering. A passion for working outside is also required.

This role boats a competitive salary of £20K to £25K + company benefits & company car.
