Our client, the leading manufacturer of cars is now looking to recruit a Vehicle Architect to have overall technical responsibility for the project deliverables, while working along side project manager who have overall commercial responsibility for the project. The vehicle architect will be required ensure that the plan / programme is compatible with the technical
objectives.

The Vehicle Architect’s areas of direct responsibility and ultimate accountability will be styling feasibility, vehicle packaging, vehicle definition, vehicle architecture and design and technical process control. These areas may be with the support of other staff with the vehicle architect providing the direction for priorities and solutions. This single point of focus for other areas will ensure a consolidated view is taken of whole vehicle issues.

The variety of areas covered will include direction of styling feasibility via close working with the vehicle integration and studio engineers, vehicle packaging around decision making and prioritising activities, vehicle definition with Product Profile and Vehicle Technical Specification documents, vehicle architecture design and development and approval of business case activities.

On occasion there will be a requirement for working off site, including international travel, and the individual will be required to represent the business at client visits and presentations.
