Manufacturing Test Technician Portsmouth 6 Months Contract £19ph Ltd + Shift
My client is a global space industry leader, with world-class expertise and extensive prime contractor experience across all sectors of the space business.
Most frequently used shift pattern
Shift early 06:00hrs to 14:00 hrs
Shift late 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs
Occasionally there may be the need for 16 day cycles, 12 hour shifts working 4 days on (07:00 to 19:00 for which), 4 days off, 4 nights on and 4 days off. (20% uplift is paid for hours between 06:00 and 22:00 and 33% uplift is paid for hours between 22:00 and 06:00)
“Test of electronic and RF sub-systems . Quality control of test results and documentation. Initial fault diagnosis and raising of non-conformance reports.
“Flexible approach to working methods and patterns. Overtime and shift working will be required including nightshifts.
“Pro-active role in maintaining a safe working environment and a clear commitment to health and safety in the workplace
“Willingness to accept change and actively support continuous improvement, Wiling to develop skills as required to support production (assembly, Test, Inspection and Support) and use these flexibly.
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential:
“Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification or experience in electronics discipline plus relevant experience.
“Experience of Vector Network Analysers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers
“We are working at 32 GHz, the candidate should have test experience in the range 1.5GHz to 32 GHz. We are not interested in MHz (UHF) experience.
Desirable: HND in Electronics/physics and/or relevant experience
Previous Experience
Essential: : Experience in RF, Microwave and Digital test techniques of space products in a clean room environment. Fault
diagnosis skills to component level.
Desirable: Familiar with ATE and manual test systems. Electronics assembly or inspection expertise
