Seeking: Test Engineer (AIT - Assembly, Integration & Test) / Test Development Engineer - for Satellite assembly, integration and test - Permanenet role based in Stevenage - salary circa 44k

You wil be an an electrical engineer who will become part of the Central Assembly, Integration and Test (C-AIT) department responsible for preparing for and performing electrical preparation, integration and automatic testing in software and real time test environments and on flight spacecraft systems.
You will work within a team of AIT engineers, responsible for producing test specifications from which test plans, test procedures will be produced to perform electrical integration and testing of electronic units, subsystems and spacecraft systems. Spacecraft testing is performed using Automatic Test procedures and you will be required to extensively develop these S/W scripts which will control test equipment and the Item Under Test (IUT). You will be required to perform test result analysis and write associated test reports.
The candidate will be familiar with a wide range of electrical/RF test and measurement equipment.
Spacecraft testing takes place in a number of environments including vacuum chambers, EMC chambers, Vibration and acoustic chambers, and part of the role will be to prepare for testing in these facilities.
Travel and work overseas for periods up to 4 months is required to perform AIT spacecraft, environmental test and launch activities.

Successful candidates will have as a minimum qualification of a degree in an electrical and electronic engineering discipline, clear report writing and presentation skills. Experience of electrical testing on prime projects or equivalent is highly desirable. Knowledge of the production and maintenance of automatic test procedures (i.e. software), experience of electrical, unit and Subsystem testing, fault finding skills and investigations would be advantageous.
