As part of the Technology Development Group you will contribute to the provision of a service to Manufacturing and Customer Technical Services. A comprehensive range of activities will be required across the teams to meet the departmental objectives as agreed which will encompass product/process improvement, new product/process development and provision of specialist support with regard to Surface Standards, Automatic Inspection and Welding.

Your role will also include assessing plant performance and operating conditions and making recommendations to give measurable improvements, assisting in the delivery of the Manufacturing Technology Improvement Plan and facilitating multi-discipline problem solving sessions with relevant production/ engineering personnel aimed at product/process improvements.

To succeed in this role you will be Degree qualified or equivalent in Science (with Chartered Membership preferred) and possess good through process knowledge of the business and understanding of product/process capability. A knowledge of problem solving techniques, analytical techniques, and computational competence in data acquisition/manipulation and awareness of current technological advances.
