TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Our client, a large manufacturing organisation in Shropshire is currently looking for a Technical Maintenance Engineer to join the existing Maintenance Team.
The role will involve providing planned technical preventative and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment services typically within a specific production or facilities area. Other duties include carrying out installations (Mechanical or Electrical) in accordance with current regulations, providing out of hours technical maintenance support as required and deputising for Specialist Maintenance Engineer during absences.
The successful applicant will be expected to communicate with internal and external customers of all levels, including other Maintenance Engineers, managers, suppliers and contractors. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating plan preventative and routine maintenance work, carrying out installation (mechanical and electrical) to recognised standards and responding to and resolving emergency breakdowns.
You will also be involved in the continuous improvement to machinery performance and reducing total costs and be required to complete time-sheets, notes, spares / repair requirements and other related documentation. Attendance to internal meetings will also be required on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will be qualified in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, to include 17th Edition regulations, have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and to respond to emergency breakdowns with a pro-active attitude.
Applicants should have experience of fault finding on PLC’s, Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. You should also have experience of multi-skilled maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
