A Team Leader (Feasibility Studies and Site Development) is now required by this leading energy company to be responsible for effectively managing a team of engineers involved in the development of new power stations and infrastructure projects, along with the modification and up grading of existing plant, including technical due diligence, primarily throughout Europe . The remit of the team includes aspects of site selection, technology selection, plant layouts, market analysis and project evaluation, vendor evaluation, enquiry specifications, assessment of tenders and negotiation of contracts. Along with providing project development, project management and implementation support for research and development projects.

It is an exciting time for them, supporting their build programme with the construction of highly modern, environmentally friendly generating plants and renewable energy investments.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have equivalent extensive and relevant experience. You will have previous experience of team leadership and delivery of consultancy support within a technical environment. The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire teams to deliver high performance is essential. You will also have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to establish and nurture effective working relationships, internally and externally. The ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets, you will have experience of successfully leading, coaching and mentoring teams and individuals. Furthermore, you will be commercially aware and understands the environment in which they operate.
You will be a Chartered engineer, or working towards it, with an understanding of power plant and infrastructure development gained from experience in power generation or similar multi-disciplined engineering business. Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel for short periods within the UK and abroad.
