POWER PLANT DESIGN

Our client, a leading energy company is now looking to recruit a System Engineer. Working in the Power Plant Design Team within this company’s project Development Division, the System Engineer will be responsible for the development of plant concept based on client and site specific requirements including overall system engineering for power plants and plant components. You will undertake project management of technical system integration in large-scale plants and definition of process design requirements for components (dimensioning), preparation of Tender documentation and specifications. You will be responsible for the evaluation of manufacturers’ technical documentation; preparation of process flow, control and instrumentation diagrams and of system descriptions and control technology specifications.
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified in power plant engineering, mechanical engineering or process engineering. You will have experience of plant planning and construction desirable, including the area of conceptional design and systems engineering of power plants. Knowledge of German would be advantageous. A basic knowledge of CAD is required. Travel between locations in the UK and internationally, with a willingness to work on construction sites in the course of carrying out tasks is also necessary for this role. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team are further essential attributes for this position.
