As a Senior Safety Engineer working within the Aberdeen or Glasgow offices, you will be a vital link between the Principal/Lead Engineers and the remainder of the safety engineering team. You will work with Principal Engineers to develop integrated solutions for clients that will require you to liaise with other departments such as process, structural, dynamic simulation, CFD, reliability, human factors and environment.
Your assignments will predominantly be working for major operators and engineering contractors. You will support the Principal Engineers in project work, ongoing client consultancy activities as well as possible secondments into our client offices.
You will be a vital member of the team and as such you will be encouraged to develop your technical skills and become a Project Manager to lead small teams of other engineers and gain the experience necessary to take the next step to becoming a Principal/Lead Engineer.
You will have a good degree in an Engineering discipline and ideally be of Chartered Engineer status or equivalent. As a safety professional, you will have a high level of oil and gas safety experience including line and project management. Along with excellent report writing and presentation skills you will have delivered most aspects of safety engineering, risk assessment, risk management and Safety Cases. You should possess proven technical competence in most areas of risk analysis and risk management (HAZID, QRA, FEA, reliability and availability) along with practical safety case skills and authoring ALARP documentation.
