SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER / CAMBRIDGESHIRE / £35K-£42K

* You will provide process development & improvement for the encapsulation of displays, including development of mechanical processes & barrier layer technology
* The position is very much a hands-on, clean-room based role necessary to support the development of organic devices
* We are keen to hear from highly skilled PROCESS ENGINEERS with an in-depth technical understanding & experience in the following areas:
- Barrier layers deposition methods & metrics
- Glass material properties
- Process control & variation reduction i.e. SPC, Six Sigma
- Adhesives materials & properties
- Encapsulation tooling e.g Musashi or Asymtek
- Clean-room working practices
You will also have:
- A calm & methodical approach to work during busy periods
- Able to solve technical problems under your own initiative & have a working knowledge of formal problem solving techniques
- Able to react quickly & appropriately to changing priorities & unexpected demands
The role will include:
* Process sustaining & improvement of the 14 inch encapsulation line
* Device testing & evaluation, including the development of metrics for mechanical testing of encapsulation such as: Calcium testing process development; Pull Testing process development; Mandrel testing
* Process development for substrates & displays, involving the following areas: Barrier layers; Encapsulation technology
* Production planning for substrate supply to process groups
* Process development for encapsulation through metal deposition & encapsulation tools
