Here is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Communications Engineer to be part of a small team of Process Control Engineers who specialise in providing a technical expertise covering, data networking and communication technologies.

As a Senior Communications Engineer you will provide support to the various manufacturing process departments including installation, fault finding and development of systems. You will possess knowledge of networking, which would include Cat5 and Fibre technology, primarily on 100Mb and Gigabit segments utilising mainly ‘Cisco’ equipment. You should be familiar and competent in networking technologies and protocols i.e. TCP/IP and Ethernet, Telnet, FTP etc.

You will help support and maintain the site telephony infrastructure and be capable of working under pressure and within tight timescales and will ensure common technical standards and practices are followed wherever possible. You will also participate in the specification, development, testing and commissioning of new and enhanced process control systems.

Successful candidates should possess appropriate qualifications or have relevant experience in this field and you will have a proven ability and interest in the practical use of communication and networking technologies and be able to demonstrate competence in developing these systems. This role is very much a ‘Hands on role’ and candidates will be expected to work within plant and office areas daily. Training is available and given where required.
