A first class career opportunity now exists for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join this leading international energy services company.

Your role as Senior Mechanical Engineer will be to carry out performance analysis of existing components and to develop new aftermarket products to improve the performance of existing gas turbines. You will contribute to product development in order to produce, on time, components that fulfil market requirements regarding performance, quality and costs. In particular, you will be required to develop, maintain and apply gas turbine performance prediction methods to model and analyze industrial gas turbines. You will also be required to develop and apply the state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method to analyze the gas flow behaviour of industrial turbine components. You will develop and apply airfoil blade design and analysis tools for new gas turbine components and participate in product design reviews. You will provide support in the creation and maintenance of process and product specifications. You will also provide support in the validation of analysis tools through the laboratory and field testing of relevant products and components. You will provide support to the Sales, Design and Repair Groups in answering technology questions and solving generic problems.

Ideally qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, with turbo-machinery-related knowledge of airfoil blade design, heat transfer and thermo-structural analysis and with gas-turbine-related knowledge of the design, performance and manufacture of hot-gas-path components, you will have well-developed skills in project management and problem solving techniques. You will have experience in the application of CFD analysis for hot gas path flow analysis (ANSYS-CFX preferred) and experience in airfoil blade design and analysis. You will also have knowledge and experience of software development and maintenance. Fluency in English and German (written and spoken) is desirable
