Quality Engineer - Medical Device - Medical Devices - Cambridge - Quality Engineer

This company specialises in developing monitoring products used within the critical care environment for the medical industry. They have been established for a number of years and are fast becoming market leaders within the medical device market due to which they now have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Engineer to join their highly successful quality team in Cambridge.

As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and continual improvement of the Quality Management System Development and Manufacturing processes and procedures.

Other duties within this role will include:
-Delivering quality compliance training to relevant members of staff
-Undertaking internal and external auditing and tracking of corrective and preventive actions
-Ensuring that goods in requirements are met and work with suppliers to assure their consistent performance and delivery

The suitable candidate will ideally be educated to a HND / HNC level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, and have previous Quality Engineering experience within the medical device industry. Experience of working to ISO 13485 and FDA standards is essential for this position.
