PRODUCT ENGINEER

Our client, a world leader in the design and manufacture of electric motors and revolutionary new wheel motors for the automotive and allied industries is now looking to recruit a Product Engineer for their offices in Hampshire.
In this role you will support the product design process to achieve manufacturing capability and continuously pursue opportunities for process and product improvement.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager Automotive (OEM or Tier 1) you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an Electronic or electro-mechanical discipline. You will need experience of Greenfield organization; manufacturing start-up; product development cycle from prototype to volume manufacture; design for manufacture and value engineering. Your experience should also include enlightened manufacturing philosophy (for example, six sigma). Excellent problem solving skills are required for this role. Successful candidates will also be self-motivated; tenacious; analytical; thorough; team-orientated and passionate.
