Opportunities now exist to join their Nuclear Decommissioning and Clean-up business units based at offices in Cumbria, Bristol and Warrington for the following:

Mechanical Handling Engineers - Ideally you will have experience in the design of mechanical handling equipment within glove boxes, mechanical handling systems for fissile material or nuclear rated cranes and lifting equipment.

Lead Civil/Structural Design Engineer - You will have the ability to successfully manage and deliver multi-million pound projects and possess sufficient and appropriate post-chartership experience including design, the management of projects and a strong understanding of site practices.

Lead Environmental/Waste Consultants – You will be involved in environmental legislation including RSA, environmental services including BPEO studies, ISO 14001 implementation and radiological and environmental impact assessments.

Mechanical Engineers – You will be involved in project definition, preparation of conceptual and scheme designs and preparation of technical specifications. Experience of AutoCAD or FE Analysis software is ideal.

Structural Assessment/Analysis/Design Engineers – You should have a proven track record in the production of engineering/technical deliverables on small to medium sized multi-disciplinary design projects. With previous design experience you should have knowledge of STADD, MathCAD or FE analysis software.

Lead Mechanical Engineer – You will ensure that all mechanical work is delivered to the relevant standards and co-ordinate the technical aspects of design and systems interfaces. Although experience of the nuclear industry is not vital, you should be of Chartered Engineer status with ideally a design office environment background.

Nuclear Safety Consultants – You will provide project support and participate in the production of nuclear safety documentation including hazard/fault identification studies (HAZOP, FMEA), qualitative and quantitative hazard assessments, accident sequence modelling assessments and providing support to engineering substantiation studies. You will possess knowledge and understanding of nuclear safety legislation including site licensing requirements.

Process Design Engineers – Although nuclear industry experience is preferred, candidates should possess sufficient and appropriate levels of design knowledge from working within the bulk/speciality chemicals, water and/or pharmaceutical industries.

C&I Design Engineers – Your experience should ideally include nuclear safety case issues, reliability issues and SIL rating of equipment, shielding and filtering requirements to protect C&I and electrical systems against EMP effects and project management including controls, planning and estimating and preparation of deliverable/work package documentation.

They are keen to hear from ambitious, degree qualified engineers, with previous experience within a regulated industry environment to join them as they continue to grow and support their clients’ and Government initiatives.

Candidates will need to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance and should also be willing to undergo a security vetting process.
