MECHANICAL INTEGRATION & TEST ENGINEER / HERTFORDSHIRE / TO £36K

* Great opportunity for a Mechanical Integration & Test Engineer to join a world leading company to work on Satellite assembly, integration & test
* Applications are welcomed from experienced Mechanical Engineers familiar with spacecraft integration, testing & handling
* You must also have experience of mechanical testing on prime projects
* Knowledge of alignment techniques advantageous
- The MECHANICAL INTEGRATION & TEST ENGINEER will will become part of the Central Assembly, Integration & Test (C-AIT) department responsible for preparing for & performing mechanical preparation, integration & testing of flight spacecraft hardware
- In this key position, you will Lead a team of AIT Engineers, responsible for producing test specifications from which test plans & test procedures will be produced to perform mechanical integration & testing of units, subsystems & spacecraft systems
- Spacecraft testing takes place in a number of environments including vacuum chambers, EMC chambers, Vibration & acoustic chambers & part of your role will be to prepare for testing in these facilities
- The position involves travel & work overseas for periods up to 4 months whilst performing AIT spacecraft, environmental test & launch activities
