Project Mechanical Engineers are now required at this leading renewable energy company in Swindon to provide support to the project and construction managers on mechanical issues. As part of the Offshore Project team you will responsible for a wide range of activities. This will include the management of contracts in the range £100m- £800m for the supply/installation of turbines and foundations. You will also undertake the development of technical specifications, assessment of tenders and of contractor competence. You will also be responsible for tender technical assessments; design reviews and assessment and recording of Engineering Risks into the project Risk Register. Furthermore you will review the impact of scope changes and manage the change control process.
Your employment history may include working for large power, oil and gas companies or general engineering consultancies and you will have knowledge of the principles of project management and good interpersonal skills. You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline and have experience of working on large construction projects in multi-discipline teams.
