Due to a restructuring process my client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design QA in the Shropshire area. This role would prove to be challenging and rewarding stretching both your practical and mental skills and an opportunity to develop existing skills within a company that is a market leader in there field.

The successful applicants Will form part of a multi disciplined team providing through life support to in service land systems products.
Main Responsibilities:
Work alongside the relevant design team leader to assure the quality and integrity of all design team produced by the team.
Provide feedback to design engineers to assist in their training and development in the design standardisation requirements for the company.
Confirm the original and detail design CAD models and drawings produced by the design engineers meet the appropriate design standards; either ISO, European, BS8887(MADE), BS8888(TAPS), BS8889(TV) or Def Stan 05-10 (Issue 4), BS308.
Confirm the dimensional accuracy and completeness of drawings produced by the team.
Participate in product design reviews as required (EN61160)
Input relevant data onto company product data management system.
Ensure that all designs produced consider:
Safety
Design for manufacture assembly dis assembly and end of line processing

The successful candidate will be educated to NC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and have a proven track record in the design of military, construction, agricultural or automotive systems / sub-systems. Engineering apprenticeship or similar training. Be a proficient user of the 3D CAD packages, Pro Engineer and/ or Unigraphics. Have a working knowledge of ISO European and defence standards. Have good technical problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

In return the successful candidate will receive:
£24k - £29k depending upon experience.
