An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Support Technician to join the Steel and Slab department of a customer-focused, innovative solutions-driven company which makes hot-rolled, cold-rolled and metallic-coated strip steels and provides solutions in product design, processing technologies and management of the supply chain.

A Manufacturing Support Technician is now required to provide and develop control and instrumentation engineering expertise and to assist the Works Area day support teams, shift teams and others as appropriate to deliver continuously improving manufacturing performance.

You will develop and implement a cost effective preventative maintenance regime, support the failure analysis system and contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of the manufacturing improvement plan. You will also undertake and ensure systems operate that ensure the Works area instrumentation is calibrated inline with current quality standards.

Qualified to ONC/HNC level in an appropriate Electrical or Control Engineering discipline you will have proven maintenance or site experience gained within a heavy manufacturing or process environment. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs will prove highly advantageous.
