Our manufacturing client based in Basingstoke currently requires a mechanical maintenance manager.
• To support the activities of the manufacturing based Area Engineering Maintenance function (Stock Preparation, Finishing) with specific responsibility for Stock Preparation. Liaise with and support other Engineering functions and provide technical expertise and support, as necessary
• To provide technical expertise and support to engineering area team
• To develop maintenance practices in line with the Condition Based Maintenance philosophy.

• Ability to learn complex technical processes and to impart knowledge to others in the team
• Preferably educated to degree level or HNC/HND or equivalent acquired through process industry within a mechanical or electrical discipline

• Mechanical or Electrical engineering background (proven within a process environment)
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate people
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Computer literacy (CMMS specific understanding)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding and ability to implement World Class Maintenance techniques (CBM)
• Knowledge and appreciation of Environmental Management techniques and their importance within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to gain a broad understanding of complex engineering and processes
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing policies and procedures (HS&E, HR, Operating methods)
• Detailed knowledge and appreciation of Health and Safety management and its importance within a manufacturing environment
• Understanding and ability to promote a “customer/supplier” working philosophy
• Excellent organisational skills.

Must have a proven ability as a team leading, will be managing a team of 6-8 technicians.
