INK & DEVICES DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST / CAMBRIDGESHIRE / £27K-£32K
* Develop Polymer Organic Light Emitting Dioide (P-OLED) ink formulations, Interlayer ink formulations & a variety of Hole Injection Layer ink formulations (made suitable for ink jet printing by designing, preparing & screening new formulations with excellent record keeping)
* Research & Development activities supporting other key printing projects
Experienced INK & DEVICES DEVELOPMENT SCIENTISTS sought with:
- Extensive relevant exp (ideally an industrial environment)
- Strong team-player
- Prepared to understand device chemistry/physics, ink formulation/printing techniques as they relate to light emitting polymer based displays
- Exp of ink formulations printing techniques/good understanding of P-OLED technology
- Good knowledge of ink properties/characterisation methods
- Knowledge of working with polymers advantageous
* You will also: Design/plan/execute/draw conclusions from experimental studies leading to development of new Hole Injection Layer, Interlayer & Red, Green, Blue & White ink formulations for inkjet printing/other deposition methods
* Lead role in solving complex problems related to ink formulation
* Work alone/take lead role in executing key ink formulation studies. Be influential to progress the technology
* Keep accurate records of new inventions relating to ink formulation
* Draw conclusions from Physical chemical contribution to development of design rules for inks/substrates ensuring optimised device structure
* Contribute to development of ink jet printable materials via liaison with suppliers
* Define problem statements from key projects; prepare studies relating to ink formulation to solve problems
* Prepare/screen novel ink formulations to high standard with high quality documentation & reporting
* Develop existing ink formulations & screening procedures
* Draw conclusions/communicate to multi-disciplinary groups the results generated from ink studies
