In the commercial sector they undertake high-tech engineering composite work, overhaul railway equipment and are involved with large yachts and specialist craft. They also undertake nuclear activities, building on their existing skills and project management experience.

Our client now has exciting opportunities for Independent Technical/Nuclear Assessment Specialists. Highly motivated with a pragmatic approach, you should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to plan work effectively. Ideally, you will have solid experience both in the nuclear industry and in safety case methodology. Experience of Nuclear Decommissioning Projects, Nuclear/Radioactive Waste Management and Radioactive Materials Transport & Packaging would be an advantage. Knowledge of Nuclear Reactors and related Systems Engineering, outages and site support systems, Mechanical Design for Nuclear Safety & Licensing, Mechanical handling, lifting arrangements/integrity, Pipework, pumps, valves, fluid systems would also be beneficial.

Ideally degree qualified in mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire engineering, physics, chemistry, ergonomics, psychology etc. or holding an MSc in Safety/Reliability or Nuclear engineering.
