Our client is looking to recruit a permanent Fitter / Tester for their site in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities.

* Assembly and test of a range of new and refurbished commercial and military projects to engineering drawings and instructions.

The Person:

* Trained/Qualified in a recognised mechanical/hydraulic engineering discipline plus:

* Can demonstrate proven hands on knowledge in the building and repair of equipment along with a good solid understanding of a range of assembly techniques ranging from light bench work through to heavy fabrication.

* Able to work on own initiative to engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and instructions.

* Flexible attitude towards changing work requirements and travel.

* Have a good understanding of safe working practices.

Pipe fitting, machining or welding & fabrication skills would be advantageous

Employment Conditions:

The position is an overtime paid position payable monthly by credit transfer .

Hours of work will be based on a normal five day working week of 37 hrs between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 12:00 Friday. However due to operational requirements you will be required and must be prepared to work additional hours over and above these.

Holiday entitlement is 33 days per annum including all statutory and public holidays.

This position does not include a company vehicle, however transport will be provided if deemed necessary when requested to attend other sites on company business.
