The Company
This company are a leading player within the instrumentation sector. They have a global network of offices and employ 1200 people. Their UK office is concerned with sales and service of the full range of instrumentation manufactured by their parent company. Their instrumentation can be incorporated into a broad range of processes, and they are considered to be the market leaders within the dairy, meat, grain and chemical processing fields. Due to an upcoming retirement a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join as a Field Service Engineer to cover Scotland.
The Role
In your capacity as a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for scheduling your own workload. Your key responsibilities will include providing technical support over the phone for fault diagnosis purposes, routine maintenance, fault finding and repair. You will be working one stand alone electronic instruments incorporated within process control and quality control systems
The Candidate
Candidates for this position must have electronic engineering qualifications, a full UK driving license (no more than 6 points), the ability to manage their own workload and good customer facing skills. Experience of analogue and digital electronic repairs and calibration work is essential. A comprehensive training programme is provided whereby you will shadow an engineer and be sent to the manufacturing site in Scandinavia to familiairse your with the kit. Successful candidates have historically come from electronic calibration or a forces background.
