This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Manager to work at the cutting-edge of green technology by joining the UK’s largest generator of purely renewable energy from wind power to landfill gas.

As Electrical Engineering Manager you will take ultimate responsibility for the electrical systems behind the company’s eighty power stations (ranging from 330kW to 27MW).

This will involve leading a large team stationed in various UK locations in the design, operation and maintenance of a variety of HV, MV, LV and electrical protection systems. You will also be responsible for the company’s local and remote C&I, SCADA and data communications equipment.

As a manager and team leader, you will be required to travel from site to site to support your team and handle their development and learning. You will also oversee other technicians and contractors as they resolve any issues or problems. You will be in constant contact with the Logistics Centre, responding to their instructions when needed.

Qualified to degree level in electrical engineering, you will have a good track record in the design, operation and maintenance of HV, MV, LV and electrical protection systems. A confident and proven manager, you will have a sound knowledge of controls and instrumentation. Ideally, you will also have knowledge of DSEAR regulations and any experience of working in hazardous areas, e.g. waste, petrochemical or mining, would be beneficial. A Masters in a relevant controls and instrumentations subject would be advantageous.

Full and ongoing training will be given thus enabling an Engineering Professional to become fully involved in this rapidly expanding market.
