My client has an opportunity for an Electrical Designer in the Shropshire area. This role would prove to be challenging and rewarding stretching both your practical and metal skills and an opportunity to develop existing skills with a company that is a market leader in there field.

My client is a global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defence and aerospace systems in the air, on land or at sea.

The successful applicants will form part of a multi disciplined team providing through life support to in service land systems products.
Main responsibilities and duties to be undertaken include:
The implementation of electrical design and manufacturing solutions to support in-service vehicles, derivatives and support equipment.
Within a design team, undertaking the electrical design tasks associated with the development of specific systems / equipment. This may involve:
Assisi ting in the analysis of customer requirements.
Generation of design specifications and/ or CAD design schemes
Generation of interface control drawing and block diagrams
Generation of circuit schematics and wiring diagrams
Generation of electrical harness drawings and installations drawings
The generation of design and/ or manufacturing drawings
Assisting in the validation of any systems/ equipment, which may include the generation of test schedules, test and integration pland and the writing / investigation of test problem reports.
Inputting necessary data on the company product data management system.
Participating in design reviews as necessary
Quality assurance activities as required to maximise the efficiency and flexibility of the team.
To ensure that all designs produced consider: Safety, Design for manufacture, design for cost, design for reliability.

The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and have a proven track record in the design of military, construction, agricultural or automotive systems / sub-systems. A proficient user of the 3D CAD packages Pro Engineer and/ or Unigraphics and ideally experienced in Pro Harness.

In return the successful candidate will receive:
£24k to £29k depending upon experience
Pension scheme
25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
