Control & Instrumentation Technician - Oil & Gas - East Yorkshire
£20-28,500 + Bonus + Standby Allowance
We are currently seeking to recruit a Control and Instrumentation Technician to work as part of the C&I team, maintaining the sites process control systems and associated instrumentation. This role is based in East Yorkshire and will require travel between local sites.
Reporting to the C&I Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking the day-to-day maintenance of all the sites process control systems and associated instrumentation, this will include commissioning, isolating, maintaining and monitoring electronic and pneumatic hazardous area instrumentation, modern DCS/ PLC based control and emergency shut down systems along with fire and gas system. The C&I Technician will play a key role in ensuring plant availability and assisting with continual plant improvements.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification at ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent with experience gained in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industries. The ability to work well as part of a small team whilst under pressure is essential, as is the initiative and commitment required to work in a busy process environment. This vacancy requires applicants to hold a full driving license as the successful candidate will need to travel between sites; a call-out rota is also in operation.
This vacancy offers a salary of £20-28,500pa (depending on experience) along with a bonus standby allowance and company pension scheme, this is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop into a large, UK based company.
