My client, a leading provider of mechanical engineering solutions to major companies in the power generation, industrial, chemical and oil and gas industries throughout the world is currently recruiting for a Contract Engineer / Tendering Engineer / Project Engineer to work at their site in Humberside.

The main focus of the role will be to provide contract management from the tendering process stage through to contract completion and invoice. This will entail the following duties & responsibilities:-
• Commercial responsibility for specifically allocated service, workshop and spares manufacturing contracts, relating to mechanical rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, valve, turbines, etc).
• Ensure technical and commercial conditions of contract are successfully negotiated and monitored.
• Preparation of tenders within the relevant approval procedures
• Management of contracts in a timely and cost effective manner
• Negotiations with suppliers in order to ensure most cost effective solutions
• Establish and maintain regular communication with key clients, including, where necessary site visits.
• To ensure all work falls within the parameters set by the relevant operating procedures.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:-
• Previous experience of preparing tenders, proposals, etc
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Good knowledge and experience of rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, valves, turbines, etc)
• Must be computer literate
• Work quickly, accurately and effectively
• Be self reliant and motivated
