Senior Mechanical Engineer – Power Generation

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a modern CCGT (Combined Cycle Power Station) in Essex.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you would be responsible for providing technical support relating to day to day maintenance and operation of plant found in a CCGT power station including:

•Gas turbines,
•Steam turbines,
•Waste heat recovery boilers,
•Motors,
•Compressors,
•Generators,

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also play a crucial role during outage periods to ensure all work is carried out correctly and on schedule to maximize production. Other tasks would include project managing O&M projects, creating and developing planned maintenance strategies, contract administration as well as managing staff onsite including contractors.

This is a senior role within a large CCGT power station and in turn will require a chartered or degree qualified engineer with experience working in the UK power generation industry. An excellent technical understanding of the before mentioned plant is also essential.

This role you suit either a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Lead Mechanical Engineer looking for career progression or a maintenance manager from a smaller plant looking to move into a larger power station.
