Mechanical Engineer Maintenance Power Station £39-47k Berkshire

is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for their Maintenance Team in Berkshire. The Mechanical Engineer will be expected to develop and implement maintenance strategies covering all mechanical assets in a power station.

You will have an understanding of the failure and damage mechanisms affecting thermal plant and be familiar with the requirements of statutory inspections. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to develop effective solutions to improve reliability and safety.

The ability to produce work packages for the plant in order that works can be efficiently executed as and when required is essential along with an understanding of planning needs for outages.

Candidates will ideally be qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering and will have experience in a similar position in the power generation, waste to energy industry or process industry. Experience in the use of planned maintenance management systems would also be an advantage.
