Infrastructure Planning Engineer
Salary - Up to £45k depending on experience

Role
My client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Planning Engineer to develop regional infrastructure development strategies and implement them through to the preparation of appropriate schemes.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
• experience and technical understanding of the principals of distribution engineering design and operation up to and including 132KV.
• The ability to use network modelling tools and interpret output results
• The ability to undertake P2/6 assessments and demonstrate the robustness of the approach under regulatory questioning.
• Competence in resolving a significant range of technical power engineering issues and in providing technical advice.
• The ability to apply risk management principals and techniques to identify threats and opportunities.
The successful candidate will contribute to Infrastructure Development Plans (IDP) for the defined sector and provide clear forward visibility of the major project pipeline for inclusion in the investment plan. You will also analyse network issues and performance problems and propose technically sound and cost effective solutions.
Required experience
As well as the experience stated above, the successful candidate will preferably be a graduate in electrical power engineering with a qualification leading to membership of the IET and Chartered Engineer status, or alternatively an experienced engineer qualified to Incorporated Engineer level.
