A multinational organisation involved in the design and development of digital television products requires an experienced software architect to join a new and expanding team. You will be working on a variety of new product development projects and assist in the modification of existing product lines.

Essential Skills:

. Embedded software development
. Full Product Development Lifecycle Exposure
. Strong Communication Skills
. Understanding of DVB
. Motivated with desire to learn

Key Duties:

. Realise and define the architecture of software components to bring to market a high quality, feature rich product with potential for re-usability to maximise business profit in future years.
. Responsibility to review and manage requirements and to make defining decisions about software architecture for new projects.
. Study technical issues, specifications, set up task forces, meetings, feasibility, setting of quality goals, seek and create solutions to technical issues, to achieve targets within project timescales.
. Provide an administrative support role in relation to all architectural factors.
. Consider and support Development Management (Configuration Management and Defect Management).
. Review software as necessary to ensure changes comply with design.
. Continually report to the Project leaders for approval.
. Work effectively and efficiently independently and with all members across teams.
