The Company

My Client is one of the world’s largest refrigeration unit specialists. They supply, maintain and service refrigeration units to the Commercial and Industrial sectors.
They are innovators in technology when talking about and doing refrigeration and cooling units. They have been established for over 30 years.

The Role

As the Technical Service Manager you will be responsible for:

• Co-ordinating technical support at International Events throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia. Initially this will require the successful candidate to carry out hands on refrigeration service work at approximately 5 events a year. This is mainly integral display and storage refrigeration equipment.
• Developing an in house Service Team ensuring all customer support issues are dealt with efficiently.
• Providing advanced technical support to engineers, contractors, in house staff and customers.
• Creating and maintaining a culture of customer service at a high level and introducing the necessary systems and training.
• Ensuring all Service jobs are prioritised correctly in liaison with the Field Service Engineers.
• Scheduling engineer visits when required ensuring engineers and contractors are used in an effective and cost efficient manner.
• Ensuring that the company is complying with all technical regulations and that all supporting technical documentation is kept up to date and current and distributed to all relevant departments.
• Developing existing and new business opportunities to expand the portfolio of services provided by the company.
• Assisting our German Company in their initial set-up and beyond.

The Candidate

Candidates for this position must have:

• Excellent technical knowledge of refrigeration
• A recognised qualification (Level 2 or above)
• Significant work based experience and knowledge from the refrigeration industry
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience of managing or supervising a team
• Ability to prioritise and manage customer expectations
• Must be self motivated and able to use own initiative
