SOFTWARE TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER / HAMPSHIRE / c35K

Our client seeks a strong Test Development Engineer to join their Development Group & work closely with QA. In this key position you will primarily be responsible for:
- Definition of Design Verification Testing (DVT) (& distinction from System Verification Testing) specifications
- Development/continual extension of test automation tools & utilities, working together with developers
- Automating end-to-end tests to improve comprehensiveness & efficiency of our software system testing
- Test estimation, planning & test case generation; produce pass criteria from the Engineering Requirements Specifications. Influence/contribute to Quality & suitability of the ERS
- Management & running of DVT schedules for progressive product releases
To apply for this exciting SOFTWARE TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER’s position, you will have:
* Exp in the testing of electronic systems
* Proven track record of & significant software test development in an Engineering environment
* Strong testing background including test case design, execution & automation
* Technical generalist with a flexible approach to development * Broad skills likely to include scripting & test tools
* Strong development skills (in C++ or C# incl. debugging / troubleshooting skills)
* Knowledge of communications / networking / protocols (tcp/ip, snmp etc) systems highly advantageous
