PRODUCT ENGINEER / COUNTY DURHAM / £NEG

* Excellent opportunity for a PRODUCT ENGINEER to work on characterisation & product introduction of GaAs MMIC products for internal customers & the merchant market, in the frequency range 1-40 GHz. These will be for the wireless infrastructure market, mobile applications, point-to-point communications & VSAT terminals
* You will have ownership of the introduction of GaAs MMIC products in to production
* The characterisation of the prototype GaAs products will be either as bare die or packaged parts
* Also rigorous characterisation of the GaAs MMIC products (packaged, module & die) in frequency range 1-40GHz
To apply for this engaging role you must be a PRODUCT ENGINEER with the following skills:
- Experience in a product engineering role within a volume manufacturing environment
- Exp of products operating in the 1-40GHz range ideally in GaAs
- Exp in setting manufacturing test limits
- Exp of owning & improving product yield
- Appreciation of microwave circuit design & test
- Good literacy/mathematical skills
- Statistical skills/understanding for defining test limits
- Exp developing high frequency product tests
- Knowledge of GaAs MMIC design
