The Company
Specialist in consultancy services for electrical and electronic products for a variety of markets for sectors offering a holistic solution to all client validation needs. They have several operations throughout the UK and currently turnover around £11 million. The group of companies are looking to double in size over the next three years.

Due to this expansion the company are looking to add to their testing department and are now recruiting for an electronics test engineer.

The Role
You will have responsibility for carrying out EMC immunity and radiation tests to ensure electro-mechanical products comply to UK laws. You will then write up and report on the tests and ensure the customer is kept up to date at all times.

Within a couple of years you could progress to a project engineers role which would see you taking on responsibility for other test engineers and being the technical expert in giving advice to more junior members of staff.

The Candidate
The client is only considering applicants who have a HNC in Electronics or equivalent and can fault find down to component level. You should have at least two to three years post education experience and be happy working in a small united team of four test engineers. You will need to very computer literate and be confident in dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.

You will need to have good electrical/electronic theory and be comfortable with theories involving ohms law, wavelength/frequency calculations, impedance calculations.

The Benefits
Starting basic salary is £20,000 - 28,000 with a pension scheme up to 5% contribution and 23 days holiday rising to 25 after two years.
