A World Leader who design, manufacture and support electronic and electro-mechanical systems, sub systems and products for defence, security and aerospace applications require a number of Engineers permanent and contract.

Design Engineer:
Role requires knowlege of Solidworks and Pro Engineer.
Generate concept design proposals and feasibility studies to support future product development programmes.
Experience in FEA and CFD desirable not essential.
Take responsibility for overall product design or for a sub-module in a larger project.
Good working knowledge of the successful application of 3D mechanical design tools in a Naval marine environment would be a significant advantage.

Motor Design Engineer:
The Motor Design Engineer will be responsible for providing Electrical design to support the design and development of specialist high power electric motors and generators.
Provide the business with electrical design expertise for high power induction motors rated in the range of several kW to a few MW. Generate concept design proposals and feasibility studies to support future product development programmes.
Carry out the detailed electrical design of motors.
Broad knowledge of the mechanical aspects of motor design and systes applications of motors.
Electromagnetic design experience; use of FEA and CFD tools for electromagnetic design and analysis.

Project Manager:
Coordinate project management activity across a number of UK Naval programs and the leadership of bid activity. The successful candidate should have a track record in delivering complex projects/programmes.
Prioritise, co-ordinate and plan the project portfolio activites to achieve all agreed business objectives and delivery milestones. Supply accurate cost and schedule information in the prepartion of bids.
High commercial and business awareness.

Principle Power Engineer:
Responsible for a wide range of engineering activities covering all stages of a project from bid to delivery. Working closely with other team members and sub contractors, you will plan and carry out activites to develop technical solutions.

Propulsion

Previous experience of electrical design, ideally designing power systems.

Scientist/Mathematician:
To join the Underwater Measurement Systems Department within the research and software team. Reporting to the research and software Team Leader, the successful candidate will carry out a vital role within a dedicated team of scientists undertaking studies and developing software and system designs.
Key responsibilties: The successful candidate will work on a range of scientific, modeling and programming activities from bid to delivery in a variety of the following areas:

Magnetic and electric source modeling
Degaussing coil design
Electromagnetic field propagation in conducting and non-conducting media
Finite Element Analysis & Boundary Element Analysis.
Underwater signature Analysis (electromagnetic, acoustic, pressure, seismic) & Acoustic signal processing.
Numerical & Optimisation methods
Modern Control Theory.

Personal attributes:
Be educated to a minimum of degree level in a scientific or mathematical discipline. A physics or mathematics degree preferred.
A post- graduate degree or experience in a physics or mathematical environmental is desirable.
Experience in two or more of the following would be advantageous: electromagnetic modelling, ship/mine encounter modelling, Vector Fields FEA, BEASY, RCS and IR signatures, Mathematica/MATLAB/Simulink, LAN Networking/TCP/IP and hardware interfacing
