Our automotive client who specialise in EDS Harness and wiring systems require an SDRC Ideas Electrical Harness designer to join the team on a long term contract basis.

Title - SDRC Ideas 3D Harness Designer
Location - Midlands
Rate - £26 - £27 p/h ltd

Responsibility
To package wiring harnesses using I-deas, in line with customer requirements and the customer’s deadlines
To use Digibuck as part of the design process, and to validate harness packaging
To prepare and submit customer engineering concerns to action change
To ensure design for manufacture
To attend customer package meetings to ensure that the harness packaging is supported by the design of other components

Profile
Experience in the use of SDRC Ideas C3P harness design work
An electrical harness engineering background
Understanding of DFMEAs
Understanding of the harness DVP

Educated to HNC/Degree level, or equivalent experience in a Electrical Engineering discipline
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Computer literate

The contract is for an initial 6 month period, capped at 45 hours a week.
