Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Department: Manufacturing

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide technical support to the assembly lines in Basingstoke.

Main Duties
” Planning and implementation to introduce engineering changes into Production, with in-depth use of SAP R3 and close contact with design and logistics to ensure accuracy.
” To work with Production, Design and Quality to resolve daily production problems.
” Continuous improvement of production methods. Processes and ergonomics, including the use of quality improvement tools and leading in performance workshops.
” Technical specification, selection, justification and implementation of new tools, machines, jigs and fixtures.

Key Skills/Experience Required
Essential
” production environment.
” Excellent interpersonal skills in order to liaise with individuals at all levels across the business.
” Must be analytical and numerate.
” IT literate; must be fully competent with the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
Desirable
” Knowledge of SAP R3 is an advantage.
