An established British Vehicle OEM is seeking a Test and Development Engineer to work within their Body Interiors function.

Job Title - Test and Development Engineer - Body Interiors

The body development team is responsible for the test & development of all interior trim components, exterior trim components and body closures. This engineer will have responsibility for target setting consultation and DVP execution across various body interior components and systems for a number of programs. They will have a ‘hands on’ role in the construction of test rigs and bucks and an innovative approach to problem solving. They will draw on their experience to:
- construct tests and lead other detection events to identify likely failure modes early in programs
- propose targets & design modifications to avoid these failures
- execute the design verification testing to prove them out

The successful candidate will posses:-

- proven automotive exposure
- proven exposure in interior trim and/or body systems
- proven test and development skills

This is a long term contract role.

Rate: £26 - £28ltd
