A large organisation within the transportation sector is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to develop strategy, policies, standards and other tools for the management of health and safety based upon identified risks and the interpretation of legislation. In addition they will provide advice and coaching to all those people with accountabilities for health and safety, in respect to the implementation of systems for the provision of operational solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree calibre
- 3-5 years previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role or similar is essential.
- Desirable for the post holder to hold a FPA Diploma in Fire Safety (or equivalent).
- The post holder must hold NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety (or equivalent) and be a - Corporate - Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (MIOSH).
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
• Continuing Professional development should be demonstrated.
• Proven ability to coach and influence others-essential.
• The ability to write concise papers and reports is essential.
