Supply Contract Officer, based Portsmouth salary c35 to 40k
Applicants will need
An extensive knowledge of English law and experience in negotiating Terms and Conditions
Previous experience of supply contracts in MoD, Aerospace or Space environment
MISSION:
To provide contractual and commercial expertise and support to the Supply Management Division to procure item (goods or services) consistent with the business objectives and contract policy, and an effective control of the risks and obligations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / MAJOR END RESULTS:
Supporting the Supply Management teams in producing all types of agreement forms and negotiating terms and conditions encompassing strategic and operational requirements that applies best practice for performance, risk and cost reduction and liability protection.
The contract officer will directly support the National teams of Germany but also the French or UK ones for the purpose of transnational agreements.

SUPPLY CONTRACTS OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide contractual and commercial support to the Supply Management Division and project management during all phases of a programme, from the agreements related to sourcing activities to the procurement and purchasing operations.
Support the Commodity Managers/ buyers for the production of contracts or any other type of agreement (contract, ATP, TAA, NDA, MoA, MoU,…) by:
assessing the contract requirements
reviewing/ completing and validating the contracts issued by the Commodity Managers/ buyers from the standard templates
produce, when contract templates are not appropriate, contracts dedicated to the business case
Support to the Commodity Managers or Buyers for the generation of al the contractual and commercial materials contributing to the RFP package (letter contract, NDA, …), the tender evaluations, the negotiations and finalisation of the agreement with the supplier.
Ensure that the legal and commercial consequences of all supply activities meet the requirements of the Supply Management Division
Ensure the consistency and completeness of the contract and its attachments to ensure absence of conflict with agreement.
Maintain a satisfactory understanding and expertise of relevant legislation and practices associated with Supply Contracting activities
Acquire all any necessary inputs from legal, financial, insurance, customs, taxes etc. and ensure that all the finding of the contract are properly controlled
Generate any ATP and negotiate with Suppliers, as necessary, any Supply Contract and other agreement such as, but not limited to, MoA and NDA..
The Supply Contracts Officer is responsible for managing and controlling the contents of the Supply Contracts database.
