Essential
Experience within the avionics industry
·Able to follow written procedures to test a product at general assembly and sub-assembly levels
·Sound knowledge of electro-mechanical practices, gained from hands-on experience
·Able to read and interpret technical data (drawings and technical publications)
·Experience of SMT manufacturing, able to identify different component types, values and correct orientation
Experience within the avionics industry
·Good level of manual dexterity
·Computer literate, familiar with Excel and Word
·Good team player
·Good communication skills (written & verbal)
·Methodical and analytical approach to work
·Safety orientated
Exposure to working in a lean environment

Key duties:
1.To build assemblies in accordance with appropriate procedures
2.To carry out rework and modifications in accordance with relevant IPC standards
3.To compile test reports and other relevant documentation
4.To conduct basic test routines at sub-assembly and GA levels
5.To carry out finishing operations prior to shipment to customer
6.To maintain input to business information systems as appropriate

·Flexible in respect of hours of work
Able to distinguish between colours
Current driving licence
