Manufacturing Technician x 1 based Stevenage rate 13.25ph initial 6 months contract
Qualifications/skills
Essential: Ability to work in isolation and as part of a team. Must be able to certificate their own work. Must understand engineering drawings.
Qualifications in relevant craft examinations.
Previous Experience
Essential: Engineering within a clean room environment.
Aerospace, space or defence exp.
The candidate will undertake all activities associated with thermal blanket manufacturing, including production of templates, operating and ultrasonic cutting machine and fitting them to the spacecraft.
They will also be involved in the bonding of secondary surface mirrors onto flight hardware and all respective preparation activities . They will be periods when support will be required within the adhesive mixing area, with specific knowledge of safety and cleanliness.
Reasonable overtime/shift work to support and travel to other Astrium facilities will be required.
