Manufacturing Assembly Technician, initial 6 months contract based in Portsmouth rate £13 ph + shift allowance
Qualifications and/or Skills needed by applicants
Essential: -
Previous qualification to work on military, aerospace or space electronic equipment
Desirable:
PSS -01-708 - High Reliability Soldering, PSS-01-738 - High Reliability SMT Soldering. Held for a minimum period of 2 years, current holder of a valid certificate.
PSS-01-728 - PCB Rework
Previous Experience
Essential: considerable experience of electronic assembly processes working on assemblies for use in Space manufactured to ESA standards. working at PCB/ MIC level and with harness processes. Previous inspection experience.
Desirable: Experience of working at PCB/ MIC, Module or General Assembly level on high reliability RF equipment for Military/ Aerospace or Space use. Prototype support expertise within the same environment.
ESA Technician
Member of an assembly team manufacturing Electronic Payload Equipments for space use. Use skills flexibly within the team to successful complete assembly tasks. Must demonstrate the ability to work with confidence and competence to controlled procedures. Responsible for the completion of supporting product and process documentation.
Should have the ability to work independently to achieve space standard requirements. Should be flexible in dealing with priorities, and liaising with engineering, test or support functions.
Wiling to develop skills as required to support production (assembly, Test, Inspection and Support) and use these flexibly.
Shift early 06:00hrs to 14:00 hrs
Shift late 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs
Some weekend working Saturday or Sunday may be required at peak times.
