ILS Engineer, based Stevenage salary to c40k according to experience
Essential:
The ability to liaise and deal with internal and external customers confidently. A proven track record of working on multiple tasks/projects and the ability to work autonomously within an effective team environment.
Ability to adapt quickly and cope with varying workloads. Must be confident and able to work to given deadlines. Must be a team player but should be able to work autonomously.
Essential:
Degree, Diploma or BTEC in Tech authoring or a Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Is trained, qualified and experienced in the application of ILS & LSA.
Or be an experience Armed Forces ILS or LSA practitioner with equivalent experience.
Be confident & experienced to make work related decisions independently. Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret and action ILS & LSA standards, methodologies and terminology as required.

To report to the CSG Functional ILS Manager for personal development, capability and welfare aspects. However on a day to day basis report to Project Support Manager(s).
To be responsible for practical application of the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) philosophy and in particular the Logistic Support Analysis process.
Note: LSA is based upon Defence Standard 00-60.

Technical Tasks
Influence to Design for support
Help develop the programme strategy and tailoring of LSA.
LSA Tasks - e.g. Level Of repair Analysis (LORA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
Review Subcontractor/Supplier ILS capabilities
Review Ops and Maintenance functions
Review Maintenance Concept
Review Concept of Use or Concept of Ops
Review Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T)
Review Support & Test Equipment (S&TE)
Review Support facilities
Review Technical Ops & Maintenance Documentation and Training solution
Review Supply Chain & Asset Management solution
Review of DRACAS / FRACAS to recommend areas for modification, change of supplier, etc.

Project Tasks
Support ILS, Design & other meetings as required.
LSA planning & tailoring
Liaise with subcontractors & customers on ILS issues.
Interface with other engineering disciplines
Mange ILS deliverables for quality, on time & to budget
Support the development of robust procedures
Provide RFQ / ITT responses with cost estimates, compliance and schedules
Present to internal and external audiences as required
Assist in the development of mid term & long term workload plans
Ensure correct ILS standards and processes are applied
